What was the significance of Henry eating the pomegranate?

I had this very same question after seeing the first episode.  Several history buffs wrote me to let me know that during that time period, the fruit was considered to improve fertility.  Henry was eating the fruit in the hopes of increasing his chances for a male heir with his wife Catherine.

Isn't the character of Margaret named wrong in the series?

There has been quite a bit of debate about this.  According to Wikipedia, the sister of King Henry who became involved with Charles Brandon was named Mary, not Margaret.  Henry was very close with his sister Mary when they were growing up - so close in fact that it's said he named his daughter after her.  If you have thoughts or more details on this, let us know.
